Bonbon Vodou is the meeting of Oriane Lacaille, a Réunionese singer and percussionist, and JereM Boucris, a singer and guitarist. Two voices blend in a warm groove, combining Réunion Creole, French and influences from Africa, the Caribbean and the Indian Ocean.
With their new album Épopée Métèque, the duo celebrates cultural diversity, journeys of exile and encounters between cultures. Their generous, poetic and playful music is carried by swaying rhythms that irresistibly make you want to move.
Documentary film “Lacaille, Domin Ki Koné”, written and directed by Josselin Carré & Christine Bouteiller, produced by Lardux.
An alchemist of musical influences, René Lacaille left Réunion 40 years ago. He went on to become one of the world’s most passionate ambassadors of Creole culture.
His children, Marco and Oriane, are also acclaimed musicians. Proud heirs to an extraordinary musical lineage, they carry on his talent, his joy and his wounds.
How do you find your way back to yourself when you have been uprooted?
Like their island, generation after generation, the Lacaille family reinvents itself.
