HALF DAY
Sacrée châtaigne (20 km)
Just a stone's throw from Lamastre, this route takes you into the heart of the chestnut forests, where you can discover the craft of chestnut farming, enjoy their products and admire their work.
Starting from Mastrou station, stop off at the unmissable Ferme du Châtaignier, then head to the Col de St-Genest to take in the view of the Château des Boscs. Continue along a balcony road lined with chestnut groves to discover the charming village of Saint-Barthélemy-Grozon and its charming church. A beautiful descent will take you back to your starting point along the Grozon.

Traverses sacrées (17 km)
Discover two villages whose narrow streets will lead you to beautiful churches that you would never find if you didn't take the time to stop and explore.
Starting from Gilhoc-sur-Ormèze, the church of St-Etienne opens its doors to you, then a road used by the Ardéchoise will take you to the village of Colombier-le-jeune. Take a few moments to visit the church of Notre-Dame de l'Assomption. Take the Col des Croix road and the Route des Croisières, where you will enjoy views of the Doux valley and northern Ardèche, as well as the Rhône valley and the Vercors. On your way back down, don't miss the view of the Château des Boscs.

Departing from Lamastre
Nature Tour (52 km)
This walk takes you to the upper Doux Valley. You will walk along its heights, which offer magnificent views. You will continue your journey in the valley, following the river through unspoilt nature.
Heritage tour (40 km)
Take the time to turn off the engine and appreciate all the riches of the villages; drive slowly and marvel at the landscapes around you.
Local produce tour (44 km)
This walk takes you along country lanes. The landscape is dotted with cherry, apricot and peach orchards. Beautiful views are also part of this route.
OVER SEVERAL DAYS
Les balcons ardéchois (116 km)
The three charming villages of Désaignes, Boucieu-le-Roi and Chalencon are connected by electric bikes.
These three villages of character in northern Ardèche, which have been awarded or are in the process of being awarded the ‘Accueil vélo’ label, want you to enjoy their heritage attractions in complete freedom, at your own pace, with the help of electric assistance... or not!
This 116 km circuit, criss-crossing the small roads of the Ardèche to avoid the main roads, also offers you the chance to take a few kilometres of La Dolce Via between Chalencon and Désaignes. The return journey between Lamastre and Boucieu-le-Roi can be made by historic train with the ‘Train de l'Ardèche’. This is a route to be planned over several days so that you have time to recharge the bikes' batteries and your own!
Take the time to stroll through the narrow streets with their secret corners, listen to the stones that have so many stories to tell, marvel at the Ardèche landscapes and local produce while enjoying a delicious Ardèche menu on the terrace of a restaurant.
For children, ‘Treasure Hunt’ game cards are available on site, so they can enjoy the treasures of these villages while having fun, observing and thinking a little too!
